What are your products made of, and do they contain any animal-derived materials?
Our products do not contain any animal-derived materials and are therefore considered vegan.
The sole is made from a polymer-based material, and the insole contain genuine cork blended with plant-based or synthetic rubber.
The uppers are made from fabrics and artificial leather (either synthetic or textile-based).
The buckles are made of metal.
Our packaging is made from cardboard and is fully recyclable
How Our Products Are Made?
We handcraft our sandals in our studio located in Moshav Yonatan, in the heart of the Golan Heights.
The production process includes the following steps: cutting the upper and lining, stitching, attaching the upper to the insole, gluing the insole to the sole, adding buckles, finishing touches, quality control, and packaging.
How long does shipping take?
We guarantee shipping within 14 business days.
In practice, the delivery usually arrives within about a week.
For special cases, or deliveries to remote areas, it may take longer than that.
How is the shipping handled?
We work with a delivery company, and all shipments will be delivered directly to your doorstep.
Once your order is processed in our system, you’ll receive an email notification that your package is on its way, along with a tracking number.
How long after the purchase can I return or exchange the product?
Returns or exchanges are allowed within 30 days from the date the delivery is received.
In which cases are returns or exchanges not allowed?
In any of the following cases, returns or exchanges will not be accepted, even if requested within 14 days of receiving the delivery:
Sandals that have been worn outside the house (even for a short time).
Sandals that have been worn indoors beyond a short and reasonable period intended for fitting only.
Sandals that have been damaged or soiled.
How do I return or exchange a sandal?
To return or exchange a sandal due to order cancellation or size/style change, please send the product back to the following address:

The sandals must be packed in their original packaging or in a cardboard box that ensures the product remains intact. (If the returned item arrives damaged or crushed, a refund or exchange will not be issued.)
For returns: Once we receive and inspect the pair, we will refund the order amount (minus a $30 shipping fee).
For exchanges: An additional $30 shipping fee will be charged.
If the new pair is more expensive, the price difference will also be charged.
How long is the product warranty, and what does it cover?
Bazalt Footwear offers a 6-month warranty from the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:
The warranty covers defects or malfunctions resulting from issues in our production process or raw materials, provided the product was used under reasonable conditions.
The sandals are not designed for use in water or high-humidity environments. Therefore, the warranty does not cover damage caused by moisture or wet conditions.
The warranty does not apply if the product was cleaned using methods not recommended (see our FAQ section on cleaning and storing your sandals).
The warranty does not apply to damage caused by intentional misuse or negligence.
The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear (e.g., normal sole wear from frequent walking).
The warranty is void if the product was repaired by the customer or by any third party not authorized by Bazalt Footwear.
If you encounter a defect, please contact us via phone, WhatsApp, or email with a photo and description of the issue. We will then coordinate the return, repair, and reshipment. If a repair is not possible, we will offer either a refund or a replacement pair, at our discretion.
Is it okay to get the sandals wet?
No, our sandals are contain a cork footbed.
Cork is the bark of the Cork Oak tree, and like all wood, it can absorb moisture. When it does, it expands, and once the moisture evaporates, it contracts.
This cycle of expansion and contraction weakens the cork footbed over time, leading to cracks and deterioration.
What are the recommended storage conditions?
Sandals and shoes are sensitive to prolonged exposure to high heat, which can weaken the adhesive that holds the different parts of the sandal together.
Therefore, our products should not be left for extended periods in a closed vehicle or stored in places exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
Cork sandals are also sensitive to moisture, so they should not be stored in damp or wet environments, nor should they be kept for long periods in sealed bags or airtight packaging."
What is the recommended way to clean the sandals?
Do not clean the sandals with a wet cloth, under running water, or in a washing machine!
Cleaning should be done using a fabric cleaning wipe or a regular cleaning wipe.
It is recommended to squeeze out the wipe slightly before use so that it remains damp but not wet.
